Eligibility to appear in IAS competitive exam for Physics postgraduate? When the application form will be published?
Hello everyone,
I am a postgraduate in Physics subject, I would like to take IAS competitive exam in future, When can the application form comes? What is the eligibility to appearing? |

IAS stands for the Indian Administrative Services. UPSC organises Civil Services Exam every year for selection of candidates for the different services like:
1. Indian Administrative Services. 2. Indian Police Services. 3. Indian Foreign Services etc. Eligibility criteria for Civil Services exam: >>Candidates must have done his/her bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any discipline. Even if you are in final year of bachelor's degree then also you can apply for the exam. Being a physics postgraduate, you are eligible for the exam. Your age must be between 21-30 years. Relaxation of three years to OBC candidates and five years to SC/ST candidates in upper age limit. The notification for the Civil Services exam 2015 will be out on 16/05/2015. You can apply online for the exam at www.upsconline.nic.in. |

Yes, you are eligible.
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) examination every year to hire the most desirable and hard working candidates for Civil Services of state government and public sector responsibility. IAS Eligibility Criteria Nationality: For the IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), a candidate must be a citizen of India. For other services, a candidate must be either: a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or IAS Coaching Centers Age limitation: Age limitations of the candidate should be liable in between 21 to 30 years as on 1st August of the year of examination. Age relaxation will also be provided for the SC/ST/OBC candidates as per the government rules. the minimum eligibilty criteria for IAS exam is as follow:- # age 21 to 30 and relaxation as per govt rule # minimum educatinal qualification is 3 year graduation degree so as an physics post graduate your can apply for the this exam you can visit website www.upsc.gov.in also for year 2015 notification will be in month of 16/05/2015 and examination will be on 23/08/2015 bye |

You are doing Post Graduate course to do IAS(Indian Civil Services)in future.
For your information to do IAS it is not mandatory to complete Post Graduate degree. **You are eligible for IAS, follow Eligibility:- 1.Any graduate or a final year candidate can apply for UPSC conducted IAS entrance Exam. 2.Age: General:21-32 years, OBC:21-35 years, S/C S/T: 21-37 years, 3.Must be a citizen of India. 4.Attempts:To clear the exam.General candidates get 06 chances. .............. :To clear the exam. OBC candidates get 09 chances. ................:To clear the exam.S/C S/T get unlimited chances. First you are to clear Preliminary exam.(objective type)after that for IAS Mains exam. Last of all you are to qualify in interview(Personality Test.) I.A.S stands for Indian Administrative Service the examination is conducted by the UPSC .There is no private examination for this. The candidates have to go through the CSE for it.
The eligibility criteria is graduation passed or final year students can apply for it. The age of the candidates must be 21-30 for general candidates. 21-33 for OBC . 21-35 for SC/ST candidates. I think you also qualify the age criteria . The application form will be released in the month of May and last date for application is 12th of June . The examination for the first stage (preliminary) on 23rd of August 2015. The second stage for those who qualify in first is on 18th of December 2015. |
