Re: Eligibility to apply in CTET for a candidate with less than 50% in BA?
CBSE conducts CTET(Central Teacher Eligibility Test) twice in a year for Primary or Elementary teacher.
Minimum qualification for becoming teacher(Primary Stage) is that the candidate must completed Senior Secondary scoring more than 50% marks with either of the following degrees - 2 year Diploma in Elementary or Special Education - 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education. Minimum qualification for becoming teacher( Elementary Stage) is that the candidate must be a graduate with more than 50% marks and either of the following degrees - 1 year Bachelor in Education - 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education - 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education. For those candidates who have scored less than 50% but more than 45%in graduation then 1 year Bachelor in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE(Recognition Norms and Procedure) is compulsory. Also, candidate with more than 50% marks in Senior Secondary and passed 4 years B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed are eligible. |

Re: Eligibility to apply in CTET for a candidate with less than 50% in BA?
To be eligible for CTET you must have qualification of B.Ed from a recognized university.
As you have mentioned that you have completed B.Ed then you can apply for it. You should have at least 50% aggregate in B.Ed. If you have less than 50% aggregate in BA then also you can apply for CTET entrance examination. Any upper age limit is not required. |

Re: Eligibility to apply in CTET for a candidate with less than 50% in BA?
CTET refers to Central Teacher Eligibility Test and having completed your B.A. ( Bachelor of Arts ) degree course with less than 50% marks, you are not eligible to apply for CTET Paper II as the minimum marks required in bachelor's degree to appear in the same examination is 50% ( or 45% marks in case of reserved category candidates ) but you can appear in the CTET Paper if you have managed at least 50% marks in you intermediate degree course.
For more details regarding the CTET eligibility conditions, you can refer to the link www.ctet.nic.in. |
