Re: Eligibility to apply for IAS exam for BSc(Optometry) student?
IAS refers to Indian Administrative Service and to become an IAS officer, you are required to qualify the Civil Services examination (popularly known as IAS/ IPS/ UPSC examination ) held by UPSC once every year.
--> The minimum education required for appearing in the same examination is a graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. So, being a student of B.Sc in Optometry degree course, you will be eligible for appearing in the Civil Services examination once you complete your B.Sc degree as per your educational qualification but you must satisfy its other eligibility criteria too. For detailed information regarding the same examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in. |

As per eligibility criteria of IAS Exam,
As you are pursuing B.Sc. (Optometry), so while in final year of this course, you can apply for IAS Exam. Note that IAS Exam is termed as Civil Services Exam formally on UPSC website. |
