Eligibility to apply for PhD from NSOU for OBC Non-creamy layer candidate?
I belong to OBC caste category. I have passed Post Graduation in History with 53% marks from NSOU. Can I apply for PhD programme from NSOU only I belong to OBC Non-creamy layer?

You can surely apply for Ph.D. admission based on your post-graduation degree. Admission will be on merit through an entrance exam conducted by the concerned university. Candidates who have got UGC NET scores are preferred for admission to Ph.D. programs are reputed universities.
For admission to lesser-known universities, there isn't any problem and you get admission even without a NET qualification. Just make sure you fulfill the basic eligibility, which is a postgraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university. |
