Re: Eligibility criteria for IPS Exam? When will be the forms for IPS available?
IPS stands for Indian Police Service. It is one of the top civil service in India.
Many of the candidates will have desire to make entry into IPS. But only few people can achieve it. If you have strong dedication, determination and able to put best efforts towards preparation, then it is possible for you to get job in IPS. The selection procedure that you need to crack to make entry into civil services is by CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) Civil Services Main Exam Interview The eligibility will be as follows One should have completed Graduation in any of the stream from a recognized university. Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation can also apply for this exam. It is not a matter of the percentage of marks that the candidates will score in Graduation but only thing is that is required is whether the candidate have completed Graduation or not. Your age will be 21-30 years in order to be eligible for this exam. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. You did not tell me whether you have completed your Graduation or not. If you possess the above mentioned eligibility criteria, you can start preparation for civil services exam. For this academic year, CSAT Exam was already completed in the month of May. So, there won't be any CSAT Exam in this academic year. Again the notification will be released in the next academic year. Make most out of this time and crack the exam in next academic year. Once the notification is released, you will come to know the last date to fill the forms and complete selection procedure etc. Wish you all the best. Re: Eligibility criteria for IPS Exam? When will be the forms for IPS available?
The job of Indian Police Service is to maintain law and order. The IPS officers are chosen for various other agencies under the central government like the Intelligence Bureau, R&AW, National Investigation Agency, Central Bureau of Investigation and much more.
You can apply for the Indian Police Service through the entrance exam called Civil Services Examination. The Civil Services Examination is conducted on the yearly basis. Apart from the IPS, it is also conducted for the Indian Administrative Service and Indian Forest Service. You can not fill the form of Indian Police Service right now. The forms for Civil Services Examination are released around the first quarter of the year. Which means that you will have to wait till 2014 to apply for the Indian Police Service. What you should do in the meantime is start preparing for the entrance exam. Do not think that this exam can easily be cleared. You will have to work very hard in order to crack the Civil Services Examination. Before you start preparing for the Indian Police Service, please make sure that you are meeting the following criteria required to apply for the Civil Services Examination for Indian Police Service. IPS Eligibility 1. Those with Indian nationality are eligible. 2. You should have a Bachelor's degree. 3. There is no criteria for marks. 4. Candidate must be at least 21 years old to apply. 5. Candidate older than 30 years is not eligible. 6. However OBC candidate can apply up to 33 years. 7. While the SC/ST candidate can apply till 35 years. Physical Requirements 1. Chest should be 84 cm for Male candidate with 5 cm expansion. 2. Chest criteria is 79 cm with 5 cm expansion for Female candidate. 3. The female candidate should not be pregnent while during the tests. 4. Height should be 165 cm for Male. 5. While Female candidate should be 150 cm tall. 6. There is 5 cm relaxation for ST candidate in both genders. Number of Attempts 1. General can apply 4 times for Civil Services Exam. 2. OBC can appear 7 times. 3. While there is no limit for SC/ST. |
