Hi, I am about to complete my Intermediate from Arts stream and after this I would like to join National School of Drama, New Delhi. Am I eligible to join NSD as I am from Arts background? Would I have to write any entrance also? If yes, then please share the entrance details as well.

Eligibility criteria to join National School of Drama, New Delhi:-

Candidate should be a graduate in any stream from any recognised university or college.

Candidates should have participated in a minimum of 6 theatre productions.

The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum is 30 years and 5 years age relaxation is allowed for the SC/St candidates.

Candidates must have a good command and fluency in English and Hindi.

Documentary proof of the theatre experience is mandatory.

Preference is given to the candidates who have three recommendations from theatre experts.

Candidates must have the Bachelor's Degree in any stream from any recognized university/institution in India or Abroad.
Fluency in English and hindi both are required.
6 theater experience are required.
Need to clear the Entrance test conducted by NSD. Application will be started from March 2020, and tentative exam date is May 2020.

Eligibility for National School of Drama:

Candidates must have the bachelor degree in any stream from any recognised university in India or abroad.

The maximum age of the candidates should be 30 years and the minimum age should be 18 years as on 1st July in the year of examination.

candidate must know the English and Hindi language.

Candidate must have the experience of working with maximum of 6 theatre productions.



Admission is done on the basis of of exam that is conducted offline. The preliminary screening comprises of an audition and is conducted in New Delhi and 9 others centres.
Exam will be conducted either in English or in Hindi language according to the language selected by the candidate.

Application forms are generally released in the month of March and exam is conducted in the month of May.

The candidate should have passed bachelor's degree with any discipline from a recognised University.

Age limit:-
Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 30 years.

5 years age relaxation is allowed for the SC / ST candidates.
Candidates must have a good command and fluency in Hindi and English.

Qualification: Candidates must have the bachelor's degree in any stream from any recognised University.

Age limit: Minimum is 18 years and maximum should not exceed 30 years as on 1st July in the month of examination.

Experience: Candidate must have the experience of working with maximum of 6 theatre productions.

So, after completion of 12th you have to pursue graduation in any discipline of your interest.
