Re: Eligibility for IPS exam after B.Com and height short by 1-2 cm?
The exam will be held as Prelim in 1st week of May & Mains in 2nd week of Oct.Means you have 4 months left to make your height increase.Though its a difficult task but as you are under 20 so you can make it from the regular height increases exercises. You can appear in the written exam as taken a chance if U are sure about the physical standards of yours.Otherwise leave the idea & look for a better option in which your purpose to serve the country accomplish.

Re: Eligibility for IPS exam after B.Com and height short by 1-2 cm?
sorry brother but there is no relaxation in minimum Height.. thats why its minimum.
B.com graduates from a recognized college/university are eligible for IAS/IPS i.e. the civil service exam..graduation students can apply even in final year of their degree provided they present proof of passing before mains. Age limit is 21 to 30 years. so since you have time you can try increasing your height... many companies/homeopathy's advertise such products which can help you gain height upto 30 years. If you succeed tell us .. many people will benefit. wishes. |

Re: Eligibility for IPS exam after B.Com and height short by 1-2 cm?
As you know the minimum height eligibility for IPS for men is 165cm and for women is 150cm.
Now as you are 1-2 cm short, you are not eligible. Kindly be clear that 165cm is MINIMUM height required for men, so nothing below 165cm is acceptable except in case you are a pahari male or female. Educationally, you are eligible, but when it comes to physical standards, you are not. So, better try and increase your height and try next year. |

YOU MUST FULFILL BOTH ELIGIBILITY AND AGE CRITERIA TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE SAME. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-(FOR CSE) 1. THE CANDIDATE MUST BE AN INDIAN CITIZEN. 2. THE CANDIDATE MUST BE A GRADUATE WITH AN UGC RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY. AGE CRITERIA:- 1. FOR GENERAL= 21-30 Y 2. FOR OBC = 21-33 Y 3. FOR SC/ST= 21-35 Y NO. OF ATTEMPTS:- * FOR GENERAL=4 ATTEMPTS. * FOR OBC= 7 ATTEMPTS. * FOR SC/ST = NO ANY LIMIT. PROCEDURE:- 1. PRELIMS (OBJECTIVE.) 2. MAINS(DESCRIPTIVE.) 3. INTERVIEW (VOCAL.)
