Eligibility of UGC NET after Masters in Microbiology?
I have completed my M.Sc in Microbiology in the year 2016. So, am I eligible for UGC NET? My Post Graduate percentage is 72%. So, please clarify my question.

NET means National Eligibility Test. This entrance examination s conducted for selection of candidates for the following:
1. Junior Research Fellowship 2. Lectureship It is conducted by the University Grants Commission twice every year in the June and December. Eligibility Criteria: Academic qualification required for the NET: 1. You should have at least master's degree in any stream from a recognized university. 2. Final year post graduation candidate can also apply for this exam. 3. Minimum of 55% is needed in P.G in order to apply for the NET exam. 4. 5% relaxation in marks to the SC/ST candidates. So after passing your Master's degree in Microbiology, You can go for NET exam. Age limit: The minimum age limit is 21 years. The upper age limit for the JRF is 28 years. For lectureship, there is no upper age limit that is you can apply for any age. |

UG NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility) is an entrance exam through which candidates are selected for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship.
As you have completed your post graduation in microbiology, now your are eligible to appear in this exam. Following are the basic eligibility criteria to appear in UGC NET Exam – You must have completed your master’s with minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD & OBC candidates). Age limit for JRF is 30 years. There is no age limit for the aspirant who will appear in UGC NET Exam for the post of Assistant Professor. |

Marks:. 55% Age limit : 30 years There is no age limit for the aspirant who will appear in UGC NET Exam for the post of Assistant Professor. Microbiology is the study of micro organism which are organisms So śmall that they. cannot be Seen with the naked eye. They can be observed only the aid of microscope |
