Isro really a good organisation. Every year they are conducting Scientist SC exam in the field of Mechanical and Electronics. As you are a EEE student so I think you can go with Electronics.

Yes, there are job opportunities in ISRO for EEE engineers. Openings will be advertised in leading newspapers and in the official site of ISRO, http://www.isro.org/. If you are interested there are institutes like IIST, IIRS, etc, that give courses for engineers and scientists, that deal with areas related to space research.

Dear friend,

It is very appreciable to know that you want to go to the research side after engineering.

You can have chances to join ISRO, IISc etc to do the research works on specialized topics.

For that you have to score at least 65% percentile in your B.Tech degree and pass the entrance test taken for admission to these prestigious institutes.

You can do some interesting certification courses on networking from recognized institutes to have some extra edge in the future.

Just apply for the entrance test in ISRO to get into the research work there.

All the best!

A good academic record is a prerequisite. But, since continuous evaluation is the current trend, you need to have both the aptitude as well as the will to do research. This includes the interest to know new things, the excitement of discovery, the way of interacting with senior scientists and your colleagues, as well as those concerning initiative, proper work culture and the ability to complete assignments within assigned timeframe.

As for you who have written "i have 58.19 % in b.tech, any chance 4 me", I don't think you can go into research unless you belong to a reserved category, because a 60% in previous qualifying examination is a must. Sorry about that.
