Can I take biological sscience as teaching subject in b.ed after doing B.sc Botany (Hons.) and M.sc Biotechnology? Am I eligible for Pgt biology?

Eligibility for PGT Biology Teacher:-

Candidate should have a post graduate degree with a minimum of 50% from a recognised University.

Candidate must have a B.Ed degree with a minimum 2 years of a teaching experience.

For general category your age should be 40 years.

Eligibity for PGT Biology Teacher.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) degree in Biology/ Zoology/Life Sciences/ Biosciences/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology.
Candidates have must proficiency in teaching in English and Hindi medium.


The maximum upper age limit for candidates is 40 years. However, there are some relaxations in the upper age limit depending on the category of the student.

Category - Upper Age Limit Relaxation

OBC - 3 years.

SC/ST- 5 years.

Eligibility:

1. You should have a Bachelor of Education degree in Biology \Zoology\Life Science, etc.

2. You should be proficient in teaching English and Hindi medium.

3. Upper age limit is 40 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for reserved category.
