Re: Which are the exams related to Electrical Engineering?
firstly you will go through an written exam which includes aptitude and reasoning based questions....if you qualify that exam ,you r supposed to go through an group discussion level...after you have qualified both the levels you are selected for your personal interview which could be taken by a group or by an single interviewer..
. . thank you and all the best ,i hope you will get the appropriate job. |

Re: Which are the exams related to Electrical Engineering?
For government jobs after completing your Electrical Engineering you basically have two good options. The option 1 is Public Sector Undertaking exams and other option is Indian Engineering Exam (IES).
Both exams provide plenty of jobs for Engineering candidates and good career. In government sector there isn't better option than going for either Public Sector Undertaking exam or the Indian Engineering Service Exam. Therefore my recommendation would be that you should apply for either one of these exams. Lets first talk about the PSU Exam. I am sure you know about the Public Sector Undertaking companies. These companies are controlled by the government which owns most of their stake. These companies hire Engineerings candidates of various streams. To recruit the candidate, these companies conduct entrance exam. Each PSU conducts the exam separately. Therefore if you want to apply for more than one company, you would have to appear in two different exams. Eligibility >> A B.Tech degree in any stream from a recognized university. >> At least 60 percent marks in Engineering course. >> Age limit is 30 years for the PSU Exam. >> Reserve category candidates are eligible for relaxation up to 5 years in upper age limit. Like I said each PSU conducts its own entrance exam. You would have to check their official website or leading employment dailies to get more information about the exams and to see whether there are jobs vacancies in your stream. Recently some Public Sector Undertakings have stopped conducting entrance exam instead they are recruiting candidates on the basis of their GATE performance. Therefore it is also important to appear for the GATE Entrance exam. List of PSU DRDO BSNL MTNL ISRO BHEL BEL HAL HPCL IOCL ONGC NALCO NTPC The second option I wrote about earlier is the Indian Engineering Service Exam. This exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Candidates who will pass this exam would be eligible for jobs in various government departments such as: Indian Railway Service of Engineers. Central Engineering Service. Indian Defence Service of Engineers (Civil Engineering Posts). Indian Ordance Factories Services etc Eligibility >> You should be Indian citizen. >> A B.Tech degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics and Communications Engineering. >> Age Limit is 21 to 30 years for the IES Exam. >> There is some relaxation for reserve category candidates. |
