Re: Fee structure of law studies?
it depends upon the institution ...whether it is private or owned by government .....it depends.....
fee structure of nus (ONE OF THE BEST INSTITUTES) Tuition Fees The increase in tuition fees for post-graduate programmes has been deferred for one year. The table below provides the applicable fee structure for Law programmes in the 2009/2010 academic year commencing in August 2009. Coursework Programmes Singapore Citizens Singapore Permanent Residents All Other Students (i.e. foreign students) LLM (General) LLM (Corporate & Financial Services Law) LLM (Intellectual Property & Technology Law) LLM (International & Comparative Law) S$5,890 S$6,480 S$14,730 LLM (Maritime Law) LLM (Asian Legal Studies) LLM (International Business Law) Graduate Diploma in Maritime Law & Arbitration S$10,000 S$10,000 S$10,000 For courses that are newly-established (i.e. the second category above), the fees are, on average, lower. This is to reflect the incentives given for these newly-started courses to become more firmly established. Overall, we recognise that the above fee structure is a significant increase over that in previous years. At the same time, the fees are still very competitive and significantly lower than that charged by leading law schools in other countries. Nevertheless, we are committed to assisting students with a variety of scholarships and grants, and will endeavour to extend these to as many deserving students as possible. Research Programmes Singapore Citizens Singapore Permanent Residents All Other Students (i.e. foreign students) LLM PhD S$4,490 S$4,940 S$11,230 Note: Students who have previously enjoyed government subsidy or sponsorship by a Singapore government agency (such as scholarships offered by the Ministries, Public Service Commission and Statutory Boards) in a graduate programme will not be eligible for MOE subsidy in another graduate programme at the same or lower level. Instead, such students will be liable to pay “Full Fees” (“Full Fees” to be paid is inclusive of prevailing GST). For example, students who had previously enjoyed subsidy/scholarship in a Master’s programme and had attained the Master’s degree will not be eligible for subsidy in another programme at Master’s or lower level. In addition, if they wish to upgrade and enrol in a graduate programme that has a combination of Master’s and PhD candidature, they will not be eligible to enjoy subsidy/scholarship during the Master’s candidature. |

Re: Fee structure of law studies?
Fee structure can't be remains same. It varies from Institute to Institute and from course to course.
But, it may possible to get concession on the basis of your marks, you've attained. Government Colleges have small fee structure as compared to private institutes. e.g. Fee Structure of NLSIU(National Law School of India University) Bangalore, one of the best LAW institute of India is 80,000/- per annum for under graduate courses. GOOD LUCK |
