I have heard somewhere that I can't apply for PGT biology or GIC Biology lecturer as I have done my masters in biotechnology not in zoology or botany. Why is it so

Those who have completed MSC Zoology or MSC Botany and studied same subject in atleast 2 yrs of graduation , they are eligible for the post of PGT Biology.
Those having BEd degree get additional benefits.

For GIC Biology , applicant must hold a master's degree from a recognised board in a particular subject in which they wish to submit the application form.
The age limit is 21-40 yrs

GIC Biology Lecturer Eligibility:-

Candidates must have a post graduate degree in Animal Sciences and Botany from a recognized university.

For General category your age should be 40 years.
