Health conditions required to become an Astronaut?


Hello Sir, I am Abinaya. I am studying in High School. I have a passion to become an Astronaut. I am willing to know how should one be physically fit and mentally prepared to be became an Astronaut? And, also let me know about courses which would be best for Astronaut.

Health requirements to become an Astronaut are:
• Candidates must have 20/20 vision (either with naturally or with corrective lenses)
• A height of between 62 and 75 inches.
• Aspiring candidates must have Blood pressure not more than 140/90 in a sitting position.
• Should clock 1000 hours of jet pilot experience.

Candidates need to possess a bachelor degree in engineering, physical science, computer science, biological science or mathematics followed by 3 years of professional experience.
