In order to apply for the Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination (SCRA Exam), first of all you need to fulfill the required eligibility criteria which is as follows:
  • Must have qualified higher secondary examination with atleast second division.
  • Must have studied Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry as major subjects in the +2 level.
  • Must have attained the age of 17 years and must not be over 21 years. The maximum age limit is relaxed upto 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST category and 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC category.

Once you fulfill the aforementioned eligibility criteria, you will have to then wait for the notification of the exam which is usually published on the official website of Union Public Service Commission as well as in India's some of the major Newspapers including Employment News.

When the examination has been scheduled, the application forms will be available online on www.upsconline.nic.in. Complete information regarding the procedure of online application will be made available on the same website.

the SCRA exam is mainly for the students who are in 12th or passed out recently from 12th standard. the SCRA paper consist of general knowledge on current affairs,history,geographic affairs.
Also on English comprehensions,grammars and lastly aptitude kind questions.the details of application form are yearly listed on the http://www.upsc.gov.in/ in that use the examination category in which all the information regarding SCRA are provided.SCRA books are too usefull for preparation book like i preferred when i had given SCRA was: Arihant SCRA Exam by Dr. Sushil Verma,M. K. Dikshit & R. K. Agarwal.best of luck for u r further studies.....

Hi,

SCRA stands for Special Class Railway
Apprentices
Examination. This exam is conducted by union public service commission.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

You can Apply for SCRA examination during class 12th or after passing 12th board with mathematics as one of the main subject in 12th standard from any recognized state board of india.

You can also apply for the exam after graduation with mathematics subject.

The age limit for the exam is 17 to 21 years.

The combined medical service exam also is conducted by upsc.

The minimum qualification required the exam is MBBS.

The upper age limit for the exam is 32 years. The age relaxation for 3 years for obc and 5 years of sc/st candidates.
