In order to apply for W.B.C.S Exam you will require to fulfill these Eligibility :-

Educational qualification :-

• You must be degree/Graduation pass out from recognized university in any stream.

NOTE :- You must be able to read,write and speak in English.


Age :-

• Minimum age - 20 years.
• Maximum age - 32 years.

Marks :-

• Your minimum marks in Graduation should be 50%.

Selection Process :-

• Preliminary Exam.
• Mains Exam.
• Personality Exam.

Details of Preliminary Exam :-

• English Composition - Total Marks 25 Marks.
• General Science - Total Marks 25 Marks.
• Current Events on National and International Events - Total Marks 25 Marks.
• History of India - Total Marks 25 Marks.
• Geography of India related to west Bengal - Total Marks 25 Marks.
• Indian Politics and Economics - Total Marks 25 Marks.
• Indian National Movement - Total Marks 25 Marks.
• General ability test - Total Marks 25 Marks.

Exam Pattern for Preliminary :-

• Total duration of this Exam - 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• Total marks - 200.
