Re: How to become a doctor after passing 12th?
You have to sit for a separate examination called the joint entrance examination Mains. This examination is held every year only once and just after the completion of higher secondary examination. You can opt to sit for the Mains of joint entrance examination only if you are a student of the science stream. Along with this, since you want to become a doctor, you must have biology in your subject combination.
If you have this basic combination, then you will be able to apply for the JEE Mains examination. The form costs you around Rs.1000. Generally candidates scoring above 55% are allowed to take up the forms. There will be three papers in this examination, namely- a) Physics, b) Chemistry, c) Biology which will contain all multiple choice type questions. If you pass in all and that too with good percentage you will get a valid rank. Hence you can apply for MBBS course in various medical colleges with your rank. |
