Candidate has to be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and should not be beyond 30 years of age. He/she must be a graduate in any discipline. Any candidate in the final semester or have written final degree exam can also appear for the IAS and IPS Preliminary examination. UPSC comprises of three sections Preliminary Examination which covers objective type questions, Mains which is subjective type questions and personal interview questions. For physical requirements, minimum height of 165 cm for men and 150 cm for women is needed. Chest should be fully expanded till 84 cm for men and 79 cm for women.

We appreciate your Interest to become a IPS Officer, If you're Interested to become a IPS Officer then you should appear in UPSC Civil Service Examination.

IPS Stands for Indian Police Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year .

The Civil Service Examination may divided into three stages namely , CSAT ( Civil Service Aptitude Test ) , Main Exam , Personal Interview..

Eligibility Criteria Required for IAS Examination :-

Academic Qualification is required to apply for Civil Service Examination, the applicant should be completed graduate degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and Final year candidate of degree may also eligible to apply for this examination . Every candidate should be Note that No Percentage bar required for this examination

Age limits for this examination, the Applicant should be Minimum 21 years and Maximum 30 years at the time of appearing this Examination and Upper age relaxation will be given for sc/st candidates and obc candidates..

Appearing candidate should be physically and mentally fit for this examination .
