Hi, I have completed my 3 years regular Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering. I want to join any of the IITs for doing B.Tech Mechanical Engineering. What are the requirements? How can I take admission? Do I still need to write entrance like IIT JEE and others?

For getting admission into IITs, you should have completed 12th with PCM (i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and then qualified JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exam.

Note that to be eligible for appearing in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exam, you should have qualified 10+2 with PCM.

Since, you are a Diploma holder candidate so you first complete your 10+2, then only you can apply for JEE Main Exam.

After qualifying JEE Main exam, you can apply for JEE Advanced Exam.

After you qualify JEE Advanced exam, you will have to apply for Counselling through which you will get admission to IITs.
