YES, You can join Indian Army after passing 12th standard in commerce stream with 50% marks.

To join Indian Army, You need to crack NDA entrance examination held twice in a year as NDA(I) & NDA(II) & NDA exam is organized by UPSC.

NDA is National Defence Academy

UPSC is Union Public Service Commission


NDA ELIGIBILITY criteria for Indian Army:

• You must have passed 12th standard in any stream from recognized State/central board.
  
• Your Age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.
  
• No restriction on percentage for NDA at all.
  
• You must be Unmarried & Male person.
  
• You should be Indian Citizen.

1,Students who have passed 10+2 OR Equivalent qualification are eligible for applying in NDA.

BUT

If you have done your 12th with compulsory subjects maths and physics than you are
Eligible to apply in all the branches – NAVY,ARMY,AIR FORCE.

OR

If you have done your class 12th with commerce or art stream than you are eligible for
ARMY only.

Selection Procedure

The process of selecting cadets for the National Defence Academy is divided into three stages :

• A written examination held by the Union Public Service Commission.

• An interview by the Service Selection Board to assess a candidate's officer potentialities ( Intelligence and personality test ).

After passing 12th with commerce stream you can join Indian Army.

For this you have to qualify the N.D.A exam.
N.DA exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
The age limit for N.D.A exam is 16.5-19 year.

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

You can apply both online and offline.
The cost off application form is 20 Rs.
The form will be available at the all Head post office in almost all post office...

Date of Notification:-05.05.2012
