After completion of MCA degree you can do Ph.D course in Computer Science through GATE and UGC NET exam.

The educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam.

There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department then you are eligible for GATE Exam.

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply any number of time. There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

Definitely you can go for the Ph.D course. The duration of the Ph.D course is minimum 2 years and it is maximum 5 years.

The eligibility criteria for the phd course is to have a master degree course in any stream or M.phil course.

You have two options you can go for the M Phil course then you will get the direct PhD course which will be minimum of 1 year or you can give the GATE entrance examination by which you can get the admission in PhD colleges.

After completing your Master degree you can appear in the GATE entrance exam.By this you can get the admission in Ph.d colleges. The duration of Ph.D course is 2 to 5 years.

You can also do the M.Phil course by which you can get the direct admission in most of the colleges.
