How can I prepare for HAS/HPS examination? I am a B.Tech Mechanical Engineering student


Dear Sir, Iam a b.tech (Mechanical Engineering) 2nd year student of ieet baddi. I want to know about syllabus, best books concern, subjects i can choose For the preparation of HAS/HPS examination.Kindly help me.

HP PSC conducts entrance exam HPAS CCE (Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service Combined Competitive Exam). You should choose the optional subjects in main exam according to your interest.

Eligibility
- You must possess bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Your age should be between 21 to 35 years of the examination year.

- Himachal Pradesh General Knowledge by R. Gupta
- History, Art and Culture of Himachal Pradesh by G.S.Mian
- Himachal - A Wonderful by Jagmohan Balokhra
- Lucent's General Science

Selection
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Interview

Qualified candidates in preliminary exam will be eligible for main exam. Score obtained in preliminary exam will not be considered for the purpose of final merit. Final Merit will be based on score obtained in main exam and interview.

HPAS CCE Exam Pattern

Preliminary Exam
It consists of two papers. Both papers will be of 200 marks and consists of 100 multiple choice questions.
Paper I : General Studies
Paper II : Aptitude Test

Main Exam

- English : 100 Marks
- Hindi : 100 Marks
- Essay : 100 Marks
- General Science : 100 Marks
- 1st Optional Paper I : 150 Marks
- 1st Optional Paper II : 150 Marks
- 2nd Optional Paper I : 150 Marks
- 2nd Optional Paper II : 150 Marks

Interview : 150 Marks

HPAS CCE 2017 Important Dates
- Last Date of Receipt of Application : 30/01/2017
- Issue Admit Card : 05/06/2017
- Preliminary Exam : 25/06/2017
