Re: How to design a Class A Amplifier?
Class A amplifier is a class of power amplifier which conducts/operates for entire cycle of input signal. The maximum efficiency of Class A power amplifier is 25% which can be enhanced upto 50% by replacing collector load by stepdown transformer. This class of power amplifier is important because of the stability of output signal is best in the case of this class of power amplifier as compared to that provided by other class of power amplifiers.
As far as you are concerned about the designing of Class A power amplifier then it can be designed by making operating point lie in the middle of dc load line of power amplifier circuit. For more details regarding the designing and working of different classes of power amplifiers you can refer to the books on Electronics Circuit Donald A Neamen , Robert Boylstead, etc. . |
