hi..i m mehak..i have done b.A and M.A from panjab university..i want to do b.ed from shimla university on regular basis..i want to know about admission procedure..what is the last date of admission? and from where i will get admission form..pls let me know soon...

If you are seeking to get admission in any of the affiliated Education Colleges of Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, to the B.Ed program, you must have completed the Bachelors Degree or/and Masters Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Candidate belonging to reserved category must have scored a minimum of 45% aggregate. The admission to B.Ed course is done on the basis of merit at Himachal Pradesh University Shimla by counseling. There is no entrance test for admission to the B.Ed course.

The Vaishno College of Education is affiliated to the HPU Shimla, and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education [NCTE].

You can B.ed from Shimla University if you full-fill the following Eligibility;-

Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate should be complete graduation with at least 50% of marks from a recognized university.

Final year appearing candidates can also be eligible.

There is no age limit to apply this exam but you must be a citizen of INDIA.

There is two ways to be done B.Ed.
1. Regular,

2. Distance.

Those candidates have completed Graduation from recognized university/college with the percentage of above 50% are eligible to do B.ED on regular basis from Shimla University .

The B.ED course is of two types :

1) Regular mode .

2) Distance mode.

Arts, Science, Commerce Stream are applicable for B.ED Course . But frien you need to clear Entrance exam first then only you can pursue this course from this university .

> > Age must not be above 38 years .

As you have completed your Graduation as well as post Graduation thus your are educationally eligible to for taking admission in Shimla University.

Others eligibility that you will have to meet are :-

Marks :-
~For General Category - minimum marks should be 50%.
~For SC/ST/OBC Category - minimum 45% marks.

NOTE :- From this year age limit has been removed for taking admission in this university.

Exam Pattern
~There will be 3 sections.
~Each sections will include 30 questions.
~Total duration for this exam will be 2 hours.

Exam Syllabus :-
~General Knowledge and Current affairs.
~English Language and Comprehension.
~Reasoning.

List of documents which will be required during the tim,e of admission are :-
~Bonafide certificate.
~Matriculation certificate.
~BA and MA marks-sheet.
