sir,i m third year mechanical engineering student. i want to do m.tech in metallurgy. so which type of GATE form should i fill?? in metallurgy engineering or in mechanical engineering??

You are eligible to apply for the course M.E/M.Tech (Metallurgy Engineering) by appearing GATE (MT - Metallurgy). Admission will be purely based on score obtained in GATE.

GATE Syllabus For Metallurgy Engineering

General Aptitude : English Language, Verbal Analogies, Critical Reasoning, Verbal Deduction, Sentence Completion, Word Groups

Engineering Mathematics : Linear Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, Probability and Statistics, Numerical Methods

Matallugy Engineering : Thermodynamics and Rate Processing, Extractive Matallurgy, Physical Metallurgy, Mechanical Metallurgy, Manufacturing Processes

After completion of your M.E/M.Tech (Metallurgy), You may have job opportunities in government undertaking as well as private sectors.
