The Indira Gandhi National Open University [IGNOU], offers Doctor of Philosophy in Computer & Information Science [PhD in Computer & Information Science]. In order to be eligible for the program candidate who posses Masters degree must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Candidate having completed Masters Degree in the relevant field of Science or Engineering & technology with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized Institute or University or,

Candidate having completed Masters Degree in any stream with a minimum of 70% aggregate marks with well equipped knowledge in Computer Science or Information Technology. Admission is based on the performance in a seminar to be given by the candidate in the area of research after the entrance test.

The minimum duration of the program is two years and the maximum duration to complete the program is five years. For detail information refer to the fiven address:
