Choose Specialization as per your interest and choice. BBM (Bachelor of Business Management) is 3 year graduate degree course in Management and ones had to choose Major and Minor specialization during the last year of the course. Both HR (Human Resource) & Finance is a great prospect for the banking sector. If you choose HR in your BBM course, then you are eligible to apply for Specialist Officer (SO) recruitment to join Bank HR department. The bank will publish the notification to fill the vacant post of specialist officer every year. Generally bank prefers Post graduate candidates for the specialist officer post.

Finance candidate are also eligible to apply for Banking sector jobs as a Finance manager, Forex Officer scale I. To Join Bank as a Forex Officer post, you must have complete your post graduation in Finance and must have minimum 2 years experience in Forex Department / Trade Finance Department in a Public Sector Bank / Private Sector Bank / Financial Institution.

Apart from that, you are eligible to apply for Clerical & a Probationary officer post of all the banking sector. If you are interested in the Banking sector, then IBPS Common written examination is the way to enter into the banking industry. Graduation is the minimum requirement to be eligible for IBPS.

You have to crack the written test conducted by IBPS to Join government banks. From this year onwards IBPS is going to be conducted two tier examination i.e. Preliminary (Tier-I) and Mains (Tier-II). Preliminary examination is common for all and those who crack the preliminary examination are eligible for Mains.

Age Criteria:

~~ For Clerical: Minimum age-20 years, Maximum age- 28 years.
~~ For PO: Minimum age-20 years, Maximum age-30 years.

Upper age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates.

The examination is objective with negative marking. You have to perform well in each one of the sections individually as well as in aggregate marks. The banking examination includes, English, Reasoning, Numerical ability, Computer knowledge & General Awareness.

You can choose any specialization as per your interest because to join banking sector graduation in any discipline is acceptable. So better to prepare for the upcoming banking examinations.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
