The best option for Bachelor of Arts candidates to become First grade officer is through Civil Services examination. Civil Services examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission for different services like IAS, IPS, IFS etc.

Candidates who have done bachelor's degree or in final year of graduation can apply for this entrance examination. The age limit for Civil Services exam is 21-32 years. Upper age relaxation of three years to OBC and five years to SC/ST candidates.

There are three stages of this exam which you need to pass to join Indian Administrative Services. IAS officers are first grade officer in India.
