Hi

Indian Navy is the Naval wings of the Indian Defense.

If a candidate wants to apply for the Indian Navy, then he has to sit for the NDA 1 exam which is conducted by the UPSC, Every year in the month of April to select candidates for the Indian defense services.

Eligibility Conditions to sit for the NDA ::

1. Only unmarried Male candidates are eligible to apply for this exam.

2. The candidates are required to pass class 12th with Physics and Maths as compulsory subject if applying for the Navy and Air Force wings.

3. They should have scored a minimum 50% aggregate in 12th boards.

4. The age of the candidates should be between 16.5 to 19 years. No relaxation for any category students are given for this.

5 The applicants must be physically fit.

So if anybody fulfill's all these above mentioned criteria's then he is eligible to sit for the NDA exam.

Now once a candidate clears the NDA written exam, next he is called for the Physical test. So in this they check all the minute health factors of the candidate, even eyesight.

The given standards of height and weight required for the Indian NAVY is as shown :

And for the eye sight requirements the candidate should not be color or night blind.
A vision of 6/12 which is correctable by glasses would be fine.

Hope this helps
