i want to join in cbi or vigilance. now i completed btech civil engineering degree.

so u completed your b.tech with civil branch.... so to join in cbi i.e central buerue of investigation, you may prepare for direct cbi or si entrance examination.........

Normally, The officers or to the senior posts, Officers are taken through deputation. Deputation mean officers from other department move to this through requests made. So, Literally IPS officers decorate the senior postings. From gained knowledge, There is an exam conducted by UPSC for entry into CBI. So, Check the UPSC website: http://www.upsc.gov.in/ for more details.

The minimum eligibility to join CBI in the assistant grade is a bachelors degree from a recognised university.
A graduate can appear for the combined graduate preliminary exam, conducted by the Staff selection commission every year.
The examination is based on two subjects
1. General intelligence & awareness
2. Arithmatic

The preliminary exam is a qualifying test for the Main exam.
The Main exam comprise of English language, Comprehension, Communication skill and writing ability, arithmetic and general studies.

The application form is published in the "Employement News".

As far As Vigilance in concerned, experienced officer are recruited in this department.

the candidates who got IPS ,can join CBI/VIGILANCE directly as officer.

You can join CBI/VIGILANCE but for sitting the exam conducted for it you must be graduate i.e you should have to complete your graduation.
For CBI/VIGILANCE ,the exam is conducted by UPSC.

To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

Miss Vanitha, I am Dr. R. Murugan, i came to know your willingness to join CBI, first you have to educationally fit for CBI. you should hold any degree. and based on requirement of CBI they will call the advertisement and you should watch and apply. otherwise you have to prepare the civil service and write exams and click the exams and based on experiance with excellence the officials will be promote by service according to department.
