You have not mentioned your educational qualification and in which category you fall so cannot give you an exact answer to your query. Generally the upper age limit of maximum entrance exam for government exams is 30 years and there is a relaxation of 3 years to 5 years and in some cases upto 10 years for reserved candidates. So at the age of 42 years you have crossed the upper age limit to appear for the entrance exam conducted by different government boards.
