I have passed 10+2.please tell me how i join iaf

IAF INFORMATION :-

If you wish to take up IAF after 12th, then you got to appear in the NDA Examination.
This is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year in the month of April and August as NDA 1 and NDA 2.

ELIGIBILITY Criteria :-

1. You should be an unmarried Male Indian.

2. Your age should be within 16.5 to 19 years.

3. You must be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or any state board in India. No minimum percentage is required.

4. Physical and Mental fitness is a must.

5. If you want to take up IAF or Navy, then you must be a Science student i.e you must have studied subjects like Physics and Mathematics in your HS.

So anybody who fulfills these Eligibility Criteria's may apply for the NDA. For more information on the same, Please CLICK HERE !!

Once you crack it, you will be called for a physical test and a personal SSB Interview. Its not going to be easy, but even if you crack it then you will be sent for the 1 year training.

Only after that you will be decided upon as to which stream to put you in out of the 3 Army, Air Force or Navy based on your Eligibility Criteria.

Since you are 12 passed out therefore you can give the NDA entrance exam to join IAF.

The eligibility criteria to join NDA is:-
You need to be 12 pass out.
Your age should be between 16.5-19 years.
You should be an unmarried citizen of India.


Exam pattern:-
paper i is mathematics of 300 marks
paper ii is the general ability divided into two parts:-
part A is english of 200 marks
part B is general knowledge of 400 marks
so total 900 marks

If you get selected they will ask you to come for the personal interview session then.

one can join Indian Airforce after XII by giving the exam for NDA which is conducted by U.P.S.C Twice every year.

You have not mentioned your branch in Class XII which is of great importance since the eligibility criteria is different for all.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ----NDA

-The Age of the candidate should be B/W 16.5 to 19 years inclusive of both dates

-There is no percentage barrier to be eligible for NDA you are just required to be passed from CLASS XII Exam.

-candidates should have passed or be appearing XII class from a recognized board .

-candidates having PCM in class XII can apply for all three branches namely navy,millitary,airforce.

-candidates not having PCM can only apply for Indian Millitary Academy

-only unmarried male candidates can apply.

Now,you since have not mentioned your branch hence its on you in which defense forces you can apply...

• Date of Notification--- 05/05/2012
• Last Date for Receipt of completed Application--- 04/06/2012
• Date of Exam--- 19/08/2012

hi dear,
if you want to go in IAF then you have to fight NDA exam conducted by the UPSC.This exam is conducted twice in a year.And qualification required that you have to complete your 12th class with in any branch.the candidate age must with in 16.5 to 19 years old.

See , after completion of 12th itself , there are some posts for you in AIRFROCE

See , for the 12Th completed candidates and for Diploma candidates , both will have some posts in AIRFORCE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY , THEY CAN BOTH APPLY FOR Same posts


~~ For example ,

The 12th completed candidates and Diploma candidates can apply for the post of GROUP'X'(Technical) in Airforce
But , the candidates age should not be morethan 22 years , for the post


~~ The candidates can apply for the NDA EXAM to join AIRFORCE

NDA stands for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY

To apply for the exam ,

~ The candidate's age should be between 16.5 to 19 years only
~ The candidate must be a citizen of india
~ The canddiate must be an unamrried male candidate


Generally , the exam will conduct by UPSC twice in every year

->girls are not eligible for NDA .
