Re: How to join IIT after 10th being a non English speaker?
It is not mandatory to have better knowledge of English to get admission in IIT. IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology and to get admission in it candidates have to appear and qualify in both stages of JEE.
So, you just focus on preparation for entrance examination and qualify in it for admission. Yes, you will have to face some difficulties in pursuing in IIT ( during lectures when most of the topics are taught in English ) but you can overcome it by some practice or with help of spoken classes for it. |

IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology. The minimum qualification required for admission in IITs for Bachelor of Technology is 10+2 with PCM subjects. Entrance examination for admission in IITs is Joint Entrance examination and it has two stages JEE Main and Advanced.
You can take admission in 10+1 in science stream with PCM subjects to become eligible for JEE exam after 10+2. At present, you are not eligible for admission in IITs. |

To appear for JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination ) conducted by CBSE & IIT for admission in IITs and other colleges in B.Tech/B.E candidates must have passed or appearing for 12th examination.
So, if you have passed your 10th std now, you have two year left with you and so you can easily learn to speak English. " Practice makes a man perfect ". The examination paper contains question of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. So, you have to qualify in it for admission in IIT ( Main and Advanced ). |

Re: How to join IIT after 10th being a non English speaker?
You cannot join IIT after 10th because the eligibility to attend the exam is 10+2 with minimum 75% from any recognized board. Any state board candidates are allowed to write the exam.
After you 12th class education you need to apply for IIT-JEE exam to get admission in top IIT colleges. The JEE exam will be in English, if you are not comfortable with English you cannot crack the exam. In 12th class try to join in English medium and learn the concepts in English so that cracking JEE exam will be easier to you. The JEE exam is also conducted in some regional languages like Urdu, Marathi and Gujarati languages. Either you choose English medium or any other regional language medium in which the JEE exam is conducted so that you can get admission in IIT. |

Re: How to join IIT after 10th being a non English speaker?
IIT refers to Indian Institute of Technology and IITs are known to be the best technical institutes in India for various technical degree courses.
For taking admission in IIT for pursuing undergraduate bachelor degree course like B.Tech/B.E./B.Arch. you need to qualify JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination ) held by CBSE once every year in two stages which includes JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. Further to be eligible for admission in JEE for admission in IITs you need to have completed your Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects with at least 75% marks ( or 65% in case you belong to SC/ST and PWD category candidates ) from a recognized board. Students failing to secure mentioned aggregate but managing to lie among the top 20 percentile candidate of their concerned board of examination are also eligible. Apart from B.Tech/B.E./B.Arch courses IITs also offers admission in higher degree courses like M.Sc and M.Tech degree courses through IIT JAM and GATE examinations respectively. Now as far as you are concerned about your possibility of admission in IITs being a non English speaker then I would like to let you know that it is not a problem as English is not a compulsory subject for admission in IITs. For details regarding JEE you can refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in. |

Re: How to join IIT after 10th being a non English speaker?
English is not compulsory for joining any IIT institution.
Here, knowledge matters not the language medium. However, if you are good at English then you can grasp concepts easily as professors, lecturers will mostly communicate in English. After 10th, you cannot join IIT. You have to appear for JEE Main exam during 12th standard. If you qualify JEE Main, then you will have to qualify JEE Advanced Exam. After qualifying JEE Advanced exam, you can get admission to IITs. |

Re: How to join IIT after 10th being a non English speaker?
If you are interested in IIT then you need to qualify JEE Mains first. After that qualify Advance exam then only you will be eligible to get admitted in any of the good colleges as per your trade or stream.
No need to worry if you don't know English language. It is quite easy and not very hard that you cannot speak. there are many English spoken courses offered by various institutes. It takes only 4 or 5 months and after completing it you will speak fluent English. So no need to worry just concentrate your mind on studies. |
