Hello friend,

Yes you are eligible for Indian airforce being a candidate of 12th passed, but here is the one most important point is that only Science stream students are eligible for indian airforce.


To join in indian airforce you need to appear NDA(National Defence Academy) exam, which is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year i.e
NDA-I,

NDA-II.


NDA has three types of wings:



Indian airforce,

Indian navy,

Indian army.



Eligibility criteria:


The candidate should be passed 12th standard from a recognised state board.

For airforce and navy science stream(i.e PCM subjects) are must in your 12th standard.

The candidate should be a citizen of india.

The candidate must be physically fit.


Age limits is 16 1/2 years to 19 years.



Important point:


Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Girls are not eligible for NDA.



Selection process;


Written test,

SSB interview,

Personal interview.


Important dates:



Date of notification:05-may-2012,

Last of application forms; 04-june-2012,

Date of NDA-II examination:
19-aug-2012.

A candidate of the science stream only can join Indian Air force as an officer after the 10+2 through National defence academy examination.
