sir,how many time i can give iit exam in my lifetime?...please tell me the duration

You can only give IIT-JEE exam two times in your lifetime and that too in the year you appeared for your board exams and the year next to it. For example if you appeared for class 12th board exams in year 2013 then you can appear in JEE in years 2013 and 2014.
You will not be given more attempts in any case.

You can give iit exam twice in your life.you can give it in the year appearing for your board exams and the year next to it.if you are appearing in this year you can give it in this year and in the next year.best of luck

you will get 2 attempts, if you do not want to waste attempt, i would suggest you to drop one year and give 1st attempt and get a experience about exam pattern and evaluate your marks in your exam and then knowing your weakness and strong point prepare your self and then again sit for exam and give your best .

Don't worry about age . prepare well for exam.

Details About IIT JEE Exam

The IIT JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) is conducted for admissions to B.Tech courses in IITs as well as a few other prominent institutions..

A candidate must satisfy the following minimum eligibility criterion for appearing for IIT JEE :-

>> The candidate must be either appearing for 12th or must have cleared his 12th in the previous year in which you are appearing for the IIT JEE

>> You should have secured an aggregate of 60% in PCM in 12th boards..55% for reserved category..

Candidates belonging to any category get only 2 chances..1 in the year in which they are appearing for the 12th and the very next year..

Well until you are of the age of 24 you can try for IIT or Indian Institute of Technology Examinations. But after you try consecutively for two years then you will have to give a gap of one year or else you will not be able to again apply for IIT examinations. It is best that you go for IIT for 2 years at a stretch and clear it by your second attempt. Or else your age will keep increasing while trying for IIT.

Indian Institute of Technology of technology conduct entrance exam for admission that is called as I.I.T-J.E.E exam.

You have only two attempts one while appearing 12th exam and other after that.

For I.I.T-J.E.E you have to pass 12th with physics and maths with minimum 60% marks. For ST/SC candidate minimum 50% marks is require.

You can appear 2 times for IIT exam and that too in the consecutive years. No gap should be there in the appearing.

If you do not give the exam in the passing year of your board exam then you lose one chance of it.

I would like to tell you that this exam has been changed to ISEET .

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

You must be a 12th passed or appearing in class 12th can also apply.

You must have PCM in your class 12th as compulsory subjects.

You should have minimum 40% in your 12th class to appear for the exam.

The IIT- JEE eligible test will consist of two exams:

• Main test
• Advanced test

Both of them will take place on separate days.

Mains test consists of General Aptitude & Reasoning type questions.

Advanced test consists of PCM subjects questions.

My name is abhishek still my 12th exam is going on in 2014.and unfortunately I forgot to fill of iit for this year.now how many attempts I hv to gv iit exam..should I drop my enter examination. Or need to gv again next year so that I could get two attmp .or I continuously can give the 12th exam..and get two attemp..please gv me answer fast ...ttomorrow morning my exam and I need to take decesion.
