How to be a Medical Officer after completion of BHMS?


Hi, I have completed my BHMS degree course and wants to become a Medical Officer. What should I do now? Is there any entrance or any further master's level course? Would I'll be able to join government medical hospital and college as a Medical Officer?

Educational qualification for the post of Medical Officer is given below-
1. The candidate should pass the UPSC Combined Medical Service Examination.
2. To be qualified and to apply for UPSC Combined Medical Service Examination the candidates must have passed with at least 50% in his/her Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree.
3. The age of candidates writing UPSC Combined Medical Service Examination must be above 21 years and below 32 years.

You have to appear for the Combined Medical Service Exam in order to be eligible for Medical Officer post.The CMS exam date is 22 October 2020.
