Re: How much percentage I should score go in Indian Air force?
Hi
Indian Air Force is one of the defense wings of India and it is indeed a matter of reputation to be a part of the same. Now Indian Air Force offers majorly two entries namely through NDA and AFCAT. Both these entrance examinations are conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year. Although their timings are different during the year. Now if you are a class 12th pass out student, then NDA is the examination for you and otherwise if you are looking to enter through a graduate level entry, then AFCAT has to be the option. If we talk in terms of NDA, it stands for National Defense Academy. The basic Eligibility Criteria's for attempting this examination is: 1. A candidate should be unmarried and male only. Females i.e. girls cannot apply for this examination. 2. The age should be well within 16.5 years to 19 years. 3. The Applicant should be a minimum class 12th pass from a recognized college or university. A result awaited student may also apply, but not a 10th or 11th class student. 4. Science stream students may take up any of the three wings of Army, Navy or Air Force, but the Commerce and Arts people may only opt for the Army. 5. Lastly the physical and mental fitness is something that is not excused by NDA. So it should be taken care of for the test. Now this NDA Exam is conducted twice a year in the months of April and AUGUST. To know more about this examination, Click Here. Talking of the AFCAT, it stands for the Air Force Common Admission Test for the graduates who are in technical studies. This is a university entry scheme. The age limit for this exam is 21-24 years only and only graduates can apply for this one. To know more about this examination, Click Here. There is a minimum percentage requirement of 60% in AFCAT, but NDA only requires you to pass the class 12th examination without any backlogs. Hope this helps All the best Regards Ranjeet |
