C language is the basic platform in which you must be thorough to learn the other computer languages. It is very easier compared to other ones like C++,JAVA,etc. You can refer Programming In ANSI C by Dr.Balaguruswamy book. This book is so simple and covers all the concepts related to C. Also merely studying doedn't yield you fruits in the case of computer languages. Practice various sets of problems and their solutions. Make the logics of each problem at fingertip and follow the syntax(guidelines) of program writing. You can also practice programs online ranging from simple to tough programs at websites like codechef. Don't lose hope if you can't get the logic at the first move.Keep on trying.
