Re: How should I prepare for IAS entrance exam?
hi,
IAS exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year and it needs very exhaustive and dedicated preparation. this exam is conducted in two phases- PRE and MAIN. PRE is a screening test and consists of two paper 1 general studies and one aptitude. students clearing PRE are eligible for MAIN. this exam consists of two optional subjects, one indian language, english, general studies, and essay writing. So first of all you need to completely dedicate yourself for this exam. make a good choice of optional subjects as per your interest and understanding, as they play vital role in selection. you can refer to NCERT books for preparation of general studies. you should also make a good use of internet for enhancing your knowledge domain. in case you need extra aid you should also join some coaching institute which is proper for your choice of subjects. make a regular habit of reading news paper for better hold of current affairs as they form a great part of general studies. for latest notifications visit www.upsc.gov.in or www.iaspassion.com or www.onestopias.com etc. best of luck. |
