Some of the top institutes to pursue Astrophysics course in India are:
  • Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru
  • Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru
  • BITS, Pilani
  • Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Pune
  • Osmania University, Hyderabad
  • Punjab University, Chandigarh

For admission in IIA, Bangalore, you will have to qualify IIAST Exam.

Recently, IIAST Exam was conducted on 12th December, 2015.

Important Dates for IIAST were:
Last Date to apply: 20 Nov 2015
Commencement of IIA Exam: 12th December 2015
Results Declaration: 18th December 2015

Notifications of next IIAST will release in November, 2016.

While for admission in BIT Pilani, you will have to qualify BITSAT Exam.

Upcoming BITSAT Exam will be commencing from 14 to 28 May 2016.
