Institute of Cost Accounts of India (earlier known as Institute of Cost & Work Accounts of India)
This is the only authority to conduct this course.

The CWA course is a correspondence kind of course which include several exams, optional
coaching classes and compulsory training.

The CWA course comprises of Foundation Course, Intermediate Course and Final Course.
You can register for the Foundation course after 10+2.
After passing Foundation course examination you will become eligible for admission in
Intermediate Course and after passing Intermediate Course examination, you can
go for Final course examination.
Apart from the exams you are supposed to undergo few short training and one 3-year
Practical Training in this field. Without training you will not be awarded the CWA qualification.

The fee structure for the course is as under.

Foundation Course : Rs. 3,500/-
Intermediate Course : Rs. 15,700/- (Rs. 19,700/- if Oral Coaching is opted i.e.
Rs.4,000 extra for oral coaching)
Final Course : Rs. 11,000/- (Rs. 16,000/- if Oral Coaching is opted i.e.
Rs.4,000 extra for oral coaching)

You can register for the course anytime in a year.

You can purchase registration form from the institute's head quarter or its regional offices.

If you are a graduate, then you can directly register or Intermediate course.

The examinations are conducted in June and December months.

You can apply for june term exam only if you register for the course by 5th December and
you can apply for Dec term exam only if you register for the course by 5th June.
