DEAR FRIEND!!!
A Student who have passed 10+2 and in the age group of 16+ is in the right time to apply for the armed forces.

The best option for such student is to join NDA(National Defence Academy)
. The necessary criteria for a student to join NDA are:-
Education qualification:- 12th class pass for the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with physics and mathematics as necessary subjects.


Age limit:- 15 years to 17 years(approx.)

Physical standards:- Candidates must be physically fit in all respect for admission to NDA and NA-II. The eye-sight must be 6/6 in both eyes(air force and navy) and maximum power allowed is +2.5 or -2.5(only for army.)



Apart from NDA you can join various engineering courses conducted by the armed forces for their engineering departments. For details please visit the respective websites of the forces.

Yes you are eligible to join Armed forces as an officer after the 10+2. You can join Indian defence through National defence academy examination after the 10+2. The National defence academy examination is conducted by the Union Public service commission twice in a year. The eligibility required for the NDA examination is given below:

Education Qualification
Candidate applying for the National defence academy examination should be 10+2 pass. Those appeared in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for the National defence academy examination.
Candidate applying for the Indian Air force and Navy should have physics and Maths at 10+2.

Age Limit
Candidate applying for the National defence academy examination should have age between 16.5 to 19 years.
There is no relaxation in age for any reserved category candidates.
