Importance of submitting correct caste certificate for getting the benefits in NITs?

My son completed XII from Maharashtra in 2109 & has caste certificate from issued by Haryana government. Does he get caste reservation benefits for admission to NIT, Nagpur? Or, can I make another caste certificate in Maharashtra?
