IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service and this examination was conducted by UPSC Every year.

>> To become a IAS Officer you need to be a graduate in any discipline form a recognised university.

The Notification of this examination was Published every year in the employment newspaper or in the UPSC Official website in the month of February, So If you are Interested then please apply for this examination in 2012.

Eligibility Criteria :-

Graduation is enough to appear for this examination.

The Age should be between 21 years and 30 years.

Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories.

Final year of degree course can also apply for this examination.

INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES

IAS exam held once in a year and this year IAS test has been happened. This year you

cant apply for this test. So you are eligible for this test in 2012. Last date to apply for

this exam is 5th of march 2012 and the test will be on 20th of may 2012. First you need

to have a graduation degree for applying to this test. After that your age should be in

between 21-30 years if you belong to general category or 21-35 years if you belong to

(ii) Educational Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification.

(iii) No. of permissible attempts :

Four (Seven attemps of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs

(iv) Fee :
Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only)
(No fee for SCs/STs/Physically disabled only)
