Firstly to do Ph.D in economics you must have the post graduation degree.
And there are the following areas you will haveto study while doing this:-
1.In Microeconomics following topics are:-

2. Topics in Economic Theory
Macroeconomics
Macroeconomics II
Macroeconomics III
3.Econometrics
Time Series & Financial Econometrics
Cross Section & Panel Data Econometrics
Applied Econometrics
