Eligibility and Criteria:

>> Graduates in medicine who have gone through training in food inspection are qualified to attend the test. Otherwise, the aspirants should have completed the bachelors’ degree in any of the science subjects.

>> They must have studied Chemistry as a subject in their qualifying course. Graduates in Agriculture / Pharmacy / Food Technology / Dairy Technology are also eligible to apply for the test. Only aspirants from certified Universities are qualified for the exam. Those who are having an equivalent degree can also apply for the test.


Syllabus of Food Inspector exam

General Studies: The paper of General Studies will include question on the following topics :-

• General Science
• Current Events of National nad International Importance
• History of India
• Indian National Movement
• Indian Polity and Economy
• World Geography and Population

Reasoning:
Number Series, Alphabet Series, Test of Direction Sense, Coding-Decoding, Number Ranking, Arithmetical Reasoning, Problem on Age Calculation, Blood Relations, Analogy, Decision Making, Syllogism, Statement and Conclusion, Statement and Argument, Non Verbal Series, Mirror Images, Cubes and Dice, Grouping Identical Figures, Embedded Figures

English Language
Verb, Adverb, Subject Verb Agreement, Error Correction, Tenses, Sentence Rearrangement, Fill in the Blanks with Modals, Articles etc, Comprehension , Answering questions based on Unseen Passages, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms

Mathematics:
Number System, HCF, LCM, Simplification, Decimal Fractions, Ratio and Proportions, Unitary Method, Percentage, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Average, Simple and Compound Interest, Menstruation (2D and 3D), Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency
