IIT conducts joint Entrance Exam, JAM for the postgraduate and research applicants. The Geology aspirant must have 55% marks in the Bachelor degree in Geology from the reputed university. They should study any two subjects from PCBM in the bachelor level. They must study Mathematics in their higher secondary stream. The JAM covers the area of The Planet Earth, Geomorphology, Mineralogy, Petrology, Economic Geology, Applied Geology etc.

resp. Sir ,As general criteria for appearing in IIT JAM geology is geology as a main subject and any two subject in PCMB as subsidary , is i eligible for this exam with geography and math as subsidery subject
