=>Karnataka State Open University is approved by UGC.

=>But KSOU is not approved by AICTE

If any university is approved by UGC , then it will not create any problem to your future for Jobs and study Purpose .So KSOU degree is valid .Don't worry about this.

Karnataka state open university( KSOU) is concerned it is UGC(University grants commission) and DEC( distance education council) both approved.
But it is not approved by the AICTE (All India council of technical education).

But it is one of the premier institutions in distance education.

As far as I can say that Karnataka open university is not AICTE approved.

But it is recognized by Distance education council, New Delhi (DEC).

Regular member of the Association of Indian Universities(AIU).

permanent member of Association of commonwealth universities(ACU), London,UK.

Asian Association of open universities(AAOU), Beijing,China.

and also has association with commonwealth of learning(COL).

i want do diploma in mechanical engg. Through distance university. Right now i m working in govt. Job. My educational qualification is matriculation and ITI in fitter general. Please sugest me college/university who approved by AICTE.

Karnataka open university is approved by UGC and DEC.It is not approved by AICTE.So you can apply for govt. jobs as it is approved by UGC.It is also the member of association of Indian universities.

Karnataka State Open university is not Approved by ALL INDIA COUNCIL OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION. But the university is approved by University grand commission that means it is a genuine university and its certificate are as valid as other university certificate.

UGC Approval is a very big thing and you should not think wrong about it as it is a authentic university.

Karnataka State Open University is a recognized by UGC(University grand commission) .

And also recognized by University of Distance Education Council under the agies of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) (Revised notification F. No. DEC/OU/Recog./2008).

But Karnataka State Open University is not approved by AICTE .
