Dear sir,
I have completed diploma in mec. engineering. I want to do B.Tech from KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY. So i just wann to know that is this university is approved from AICTE, UGC, DCE....etc.....? can we apply for Govt. jobs.

Karnataka State Open University has got the recognition from the University Grants Commission.

It has got the approval from Distance Education Council to offer Distance Learning Courses.

But it has not got the approval from the All Indi Council Of Technical Education to offer Technical Degree Courses.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.

Is Karnataka state open university approved by AICTE, UGC, DCE? I have completed my diploma in electrical engineering

Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is NOT recognized by AICTE, for offering Engg. Course through distance mode.

Presently in India, Engineering Courses through Distance Education is not VALID , except Professional institution courses like AMIE etc.

Karnataka University is approved by the University Grant Commission. so dont worry about the Karnataka University.

KSOU-Karnataka State Open University is recognised by the University Grants Commission(UGC) and Distance Education Council(DEC) but it is not recognised by the AICTE.
