The Karnataka State Open University offers programs through distance learning mode. Now, any technical course including B.Tech Programs offered through modes other than regular mode are not approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The only distance programs approved by the council are Master of Business Administration and Master of Computer Application. Apart from these two program, no other courses offered through distance mode by any university are approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
Karnataka State Open University is recognized by the following regulatory bodies:

Please don do any technical course like B.Tech. in distance learning from any university, as this is not approved. Do it from Institution of Engineers (India) only

PLZ clearly mention about KSOU B.Tech degree valid or not at govt job...? I know that KSOU is not AICTE approved. But so many Institute till now Openly conduct KSOU B. Tech all coureses. IS it fake. Please reply honestly

I am also a btech member from KSOU, my experience, its nly gives you self happiness that ur a Btech graduate., Personally or professionally this degree is not a valid one.

after adding this degree into my cv, many of the companies stopped calling for new openings.

So think before getting into such courses...!

last ht nt least KSOU btech is valid by onlu distance education bodies. But the real approval for any technical study required from AICTE...which is not there for KSOU Btech degree

Respected sir, With due respect, l ( Balvinder Kumar ) from Punjab have completed my degree in B.Tech (civil) during the session ( 2012-2015 ) from KSOU. My Roll No. is ( 121041 LBTC 0519 ). I am working as an Assistant Engineer in the Punjab Govt. I have received all the DMC's/Mark sheets of 3rd to 8th semesters.
